Dye Sublimation affords incredible depth, detail and resolution,
making your graphics come to life on fabric in a way that vinyl and
paper can not match. To learn more about this wonderful printing
technology simply refer to the following.
"Dye-Sublimation" is a digital fabric printing process where the
design is first printed onto specialised paper, by a large scale
Ink-Jet Printer. The printed paper is then fed through a "Heat
Press" together with your chosen fabric. The resultant sandwiching
effect & heat help the dye to penetrate & fixate from the paper,
onto the fabric. For Dye-Sublimation to be effective, all fabrics
must be properly "Heat Set". If the fabric is not properly "Heat
Set", then the Fabric must be first preshrunk, before final heat
pressing, otherwise print will be blurred.
Design is provided by the customer as a digital file (please refer
to Artwork Requirements for all that you need to know).
Design (Digital File) is then profiled & re-sized to suit what
fabric it is to be printed on & then "spooled" to the relevant
printer.
Ink Jet Dye Sublimation Machine
Bravo's Dye Sublimation is printed using wide format Ink jet printers. Ink jet printing is composed of microscopic droplets of high grade ink layered and scattered to simulate continuous tones producing superior colour fidelity. Our prints come to life in a way that pigment inks can not match.
Heat Press
Heat Pressing is a very important part of the Dye-sublimation
process and is used to impart the "print/dye" from the printed
paper & fixate it to the polyester fabric. It is also used to cure
Polyester that has been printed using Direct To Fabric Printing.
Pre-Washing
For Dye Sublimation Pre-washing is only required if the fabric is
sent in dirty.
